Why Hawaii?
![]()
There are four primary areas to consider for purchasing tropical Vacation Property.
A. The Caribbean has a long hurricane season, is normally quite humid, often dirty and crime on many of the islands is quite high and some of the governments are unstable. Some of the local people can be aggressive and unfriendly.![]()
B. Florida also is quite humid, crowded, with a lot of illegal aliens and also a high crime rate. There are a lot of creepy crawly bugs everywhere and screens are a must. There is also a
hurricane season as in the Caribbean.
C. Mexico is quite dirty, with a major drug problem and increasing kidnappings, murders, and other crime running rampant. Also, buying property in Mexico can be high risk as some properties do not come with deed of ownership but are leasehol
d only. The government is very unstable and property prices are no longer a bargain.
D. Hawaii is part of the United States and very clean, crime is relatively low, there is no hurricane season, the humidity is low, and because it is located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, pollution is non-existent. Also, it is relatively uncrowded, and many the problems of the mainland such as overcrowding, illegal aliens and high crime rates really do not make it over there. There are surprising few insects and the local people are also quite friendly.
Why the Big Island?
There are four primary choices of Islands in Hawaii for people to consider when investing in Vacation Property.
A. Oahu with over a million people is crowded, somewhat dirty with a lot of traffic and is outdated. It is also quite expensive. Also, the Island is small.
B. Maui, although quite beautiful, has been overdeveloped and is now crowded with a lot of traffic as well. It is also quite expensive. Also, the Island is small.
C. Kauai, also beautiful, is quite wet with a lot of humidity and has limited infrastructure, few shopping and restaurants options. It is quite expensive. Also, the Island is small.
D. The Big Island is the best kept secret in all of the Hawaiian Islands. It is twice as large as all of the other islands combined, almost ten times of the size of any of the other islands. You don’t even think you are on an island, it is that large and there is so much to experience. Getting bored here is really not an option. There is simply too much to see and do. Even if you spent a month here, you would see less than 10% of what the Big Island has to offer. Of the 13 major climate zones in the world, 11 of them are found on the Big Island. The rainfall varies 7 inches to more than 250 inches. The terrain, topography, and micro climates vary tremendously
and incredibly all within short distances from each other. Take your choice, from barren deserts, lush valleys, cactus fields, moonscapes, pine forests, prairies, jungles, rolling hills, lush pastures, misty meadows, arid steppes, cascading waterfalls, flowing lava fields, jagged cliffs, wild orchids, rugged coastlines, crescent white sand beaches, palm lined black sand beaches, green sand beaches, you name it, it is here. Mauna Kea, the largest mountain in the world, is home to the premier Astronomy Observatory. Because Hawaii is located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, the air is quite clear and stargazing is absolutely incredible.
Where else in the world, can you snow ski on a mountain in the morning and 40 miles away swim in the 80 degree Pacific Ocean in the afternoon?
Why the Kohala Coast?
The Kohala Coast, located on the North West area of the Big Island, is the upscale area on the Island with four major resorts, seven world class hotels, three upscale boutique shopping centers, countless restaurants, numerous golf courses, and the best beaches on the Island with 350 days of sunshine a year. With only seven inches of rain a year, the humidity is quite low. The highest temperature in the summer is around 89 degrees; the lowest temperature in winter is around 70 degrees. With constant
gentle balmy tropical breezes, it is the only place in the Untied States that you do not need a heater in the winter or an air conditioner in the summer. Also, the ocean temperature is a comfortable 75 - 82 degrees year round. Donald Trump, real estate magnate when recently asked his opinion where in the USA he would recommend people consider investing in vacation property replied, “The Kohala Coast on the Big Island of Hawaii.” Michael Dell, Paul Allen, Bill Gates, Charles Schwab, as well as other prominent people all have invested on the Big Island.
